PORTFOLIO
Gen-2 Vehicle: Building a Sonic Identity from the Ground UpAs the sole sound designer at Simple Energy, I was responsible for creating the complete audio system for the Gen-2 vehicle, from initial concept to final delivery. This included every interaction and functional sound the rider would encounter, as well as leading the user-testing integration to ensure that audio added value without distraction. Working independently, I collaborated with product, UX, and engineering teams to gather requirements, then designed and delivered the entire set of sounds directly approved by the CEO.Design Principles and ChallengesMy guiding philosophy was simple: sounds should be minimal, clean, and purposeful. In practice, this meant crafting cues that felt soft and non-intrusive, with character only where needed, while ensuring that every sound conveyed its purpose clearly. In many cases, I deliberately avoided adding audio where it would distract the rider or reduce comfort.A major challenge came from the hardware itself. The vehicle’s tiny mono speaker could not reproduce frequencies below 400-500 Hz and distorted easily at higher volumes. This required careful tuning and refinement, especially for functional sounds like Reverse Mode Engage, which relied on lower frequency presence, and system notifications that had to remain intelligible at all times.System ExecutionThe final library included over 25 functional and alert sounds, covering every major interaction: from Power On, Motor On, and Drive Mode transitions, to Charger Attach/Detach, Indicator, Bluetooth pairing, Geo-Fence Breach, Low Tyre Pressure, and Tamper Alert.Highlights included the Reverse Mode sound, which had to be re-tuned extensively to work on the limited speaker, and the “Ping My Scooter” cue, designed to sit between a horn and a sonar pulse, instantly recognizable yet unobtrusive. The Indicator tone evolved from an early wooden-percussion sketch to a refined marimba-like sound that carried subtle character while maintaining clarity.Impact and LegacyThough designed for the Gen-2 scooter, the sound library was built with scalability in mind. Several sounds have since been adapted for future vehicle lines, establishing consistency across Simple Energy’s product family. This foundation not only streamlined future design cycles but also began shaping a cohesive sonic identity for the brand, helping the vehicles feel both distinctive and intuitive in everyday use.

Alongside product sound design, I contribute extensively to brand and marketing content by creating original music, sound effects, and complete post-production audio for videos and campaigns. This includes:
• Music Composition – Crafting original scores for digital campaigns, product videos, and brand storytelling.
• Sound Design (SFX) – Designing cinematic and brand-consistent audio effects that enhance visual content.
• Mixing & Mastering – Delivering broadcast-ready soundtracks optimized for social media, web, and film.
• Creative Ideation – Actively collaborating on the music direction and sonic storytelling to align with campaign goals and brand identity.

Produced the complete audio for Simple Energy's partnership film with Kerala Blasters FC. Blended football culture with electric mobility through sound design, original music, and full post-production mix. 34K+ views.
Created the full audio for Simple Energy's sports partnership film with FC Goa. Designed sound that captures street football energy (beaches, open fields, crowds) while staying true to the brand. Full audio post-production including SFX, music, and final mix.
Handled the complete audio post-production for Simple Energy's Ultra performance vehicle launch film. Designed the soundscape using Theyyam-inspired elements to bring raw, ritualistic intensity to the visuals, blending it with SFX, original music, mixing, and mastering.
Gen 2 Vehicle Launch Film & Event Audio
I handled the complete audio post-production for the Gen 2 vehicle launch film. This included end-to-end sound design, music, mixing, and mastering for film, along with full event audio design. From ambient sounds and transitions to detailed sound moments that supported the visuals and live experience, I took care of everything audio-related. The goal was to make the launch feel impactful, clear, and immersive, both on screen and at the event.
I handled the complete audio for Simple Energy’s Onam festival video. Composed music with traditional Kerala elements like chenda and mridangam to give it an authentic festive feel. Added SFX and Foley to match the actions and atmosphere on screen, along with ambient layers that brought the visuals to life. Mixed and mastered everything to create a vibrant, clear sound that captured the true spirit of Onam.
I created the full soundscape for an off-road adventure. Layered multiple heavy sound effects like gravel crunches, engine growls, and wind ambience to deliver real impact in every scene. Also composed original Maharashtra folk music for the ending and then mixed and mastered the final audio to make it feel authentic and powerful.
I designed the full audio for a video shot in the Tibetan settlement of Dhondenling, Karnataka. This included ambient sound design that matched the peaceful visuals and an original music score that carried the narrative’s emotional tone. I mixed everything to ensure the audio felt natural and clear, enhancing the storytelling with subtle and authentic sound.
I handled all the audio for this fast-paced lifestyle ad for the Simple One. Added sound effects that highlight everyday rushes, like quick errand moments, and composed a rhythm-driven music track that supports the ad’s pace. The final mix keeps everything clear and engaging, matching the visuals to create a sense of urgency and movement.
I created the entire audio experience for this off-road adventure featuring the Simple One scooter. The sound design includes gravel crunches, engine notes, and wind ambiance to emphasize motion and terrain. I also composed a soundtrack to build energy while keeping it balanced with the visuals. The final mix feels immersive and clean, adding texture without overpowering the action.
